Emergency First Aid at Work 6 Hour Level 3 (VTQ)™ - EFAW
Dear Delegate,
Thank you for booking onto the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) 1-Day Course. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you through your training.

Please aim to arrive in time for the course to start at 9:30. If you are running more than 15 minutes late, please let me know by contacting me on my mobile.
Parking on site is free which will be sorted at the start of the course.
On the morning of the course, I will meet you at the main reception and walk you down to the training room. Please contact me when you arrive.
What to Expect
This course combines classroom learning with practical first aid activities, including CPR and other hands-on exercises. No previous first aid experience is required.
To successfully complete the course, you will take a short assessment at the end of the day using your own mobile phone. This will require you to be able to link through a QR code. For some Android phones an App may need to be downloaded prior to the start of the course. On completion of the course, you will receive an EFAW certificate which lasts for 3 years. This will be emailed to you.
What to Bring
• A fully charged smartphone for the final assessment.
• Reading glasses if required.
• Any medication you may need during the day.
• Comfortable clothing suitable for practical activities.
Practical Activities
The practical exercises will involve kneeling, bending, and working at floor level. If you have any injury, medical condition, mobility issue, or other concern that may affect your participation, please let me know before the course so that reasonable adjustments can be considered however, to pass the course CPR must be demonstrated on the floor. Some padding for knees is provided.
Learning Support Requirements
To ensure everyone has the best possible learning experience, please advise me in confidence if you have any learning difficulties, disabilities, sensory impairments, language support requirements, or any other circumstances that may affect your learning or assessment.
Refreshments and Lunch
The venue has many facilities on site. During the course we will have regular breaks including a longer lunch break. Included in the course is 1 tea, coffee and a selection of pastries. If you require more there is an option for unlimited drinks and snacks for £10 a day. They also offer sandwiches, a buffet style lunch or 3 course meal option at varying prices. If you require any further information, menus or prices for the lunch options please let me know and I will forward these to you. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to eat your own food in the venue. There are shops and other places to eat on the campus for you to visit or alternatively you can take a packed lunch outside.
Pens, paper and all training materials for the course are provided.
